by Claire O. on Given the limited number of clubs in Boston (and my love for clubbing), I'm reluctant to ding one right off the bat. Having said that, I HATE Rumor with a passion. OK, the music is good, the atmosphere is fun and I like the lay-out a lot. BUT - hello Rumor? You're in Boston, not NY or London.... what the heck is with 1) charging $20+ cover and 2) having such asshole bouncers (and I do not use that word lightly). I have been here on more than one occasion when some friends have got a table and still massively struggled to get in. The bouncers have been outright rude which I think is kind of ridiculous given there have almost always been more girls than boys in the group, and we've allegedly been VIP. Apparently at Rumor that's all a big hoax. So, I would recommend going elsewhere... yes Rumor might be *marginally* cooler, but I promise you'll have a better experience almost anywhere else in Boston...
