by K. R. on This place has what my wife likes to call the "reliable margarita." It's just their regular margarita on the rocks with salt, but it's made very well every time. And it's not made with that disgusting Jose Cuervo poison either. By the way...they themselves don't call it the "reliable margarita" so don't ask for it that way. It's the house margarita, rocks, with salt. Anyway, most people just need one. One's good enough (for most). But there's no margarita rationing (they're only rationing water in Pasadena), so go ahead...order two. Their fresh handmade guacamole rocks (made at your table). If you're lucky, they'll assign Perla to make it for you. She's the greatest. She's got magic guacamole skills. We don't know why, but it just tastes amazing when she makes it. Oh, and she'll add garlic (or really anything you request) to your guacamole if you ask for it, and if she can manage to sneak it. The other servers won't extend themselves that far for you. The Pollo en Mole ,Chile Colorado, and Chile Verde are also all good. So go and get a margarita (some may want two), chips, and hand made guacamole. It's the stuff of life after a long hard work week. Look for Perla.
