The edison....do I dislike this place? Not exactly. Do I like this place? Meh. I am "indifferent" about this place. I was here for a friend's birthday party last summer. We had to deal with the stupid bouncer's attitude. We got there at 9pm and he acted like this place was happening. Please. A DT LA lounge with a hollywood attitude...who do they think they are? Once we got in...I immediately noticed that this place is truly for the old and the mature. Now, I don't mean old as in people in their late 20s or 30s, I mean old like you could be lounging next to your aunts and uncles. Not cool...so not cool. I went to the bar to try to get a round of patron shots, and was rejected. They rejected me and told me PATRON is not a classy drink and that I should not like it - and they do not carry it. A upscale club w/o patron? Are you joking??? I mean, it's not like I was trying to order some Jose Cuervo. Come on. It's PATRON. I also got yelled at by the bouncer because apparently I was too loud when I was in the smoking lounge. Too loud? I thought this is a club/lounge? TOO LOUD? =x To top it off, I broke my heel that night, and had to walk to the valet bare footed. Nice, right? Meh. If you're an old soul and like jazz music, I can see KIND OF how you may be attracted to this place, but the people working here have a really bad attitude. They really ought to check themselves. Not to mention I was actually BORED the whole time I was there. Not recommended.

i went to a great bilal concert here. Intimate venue, attractive crowd. my gin and tonic was a good $12 (ridiculous) but I guess thats ny for ya. a lot of great artists come through this venue, definitely will be back! Also, someone should review the monthly r&b showcase "sol village"--hows that? I plan on going to that sometime soon. Anyway, I highly suggest S.O.B.s!
