by faye s. on The best gelato place in the city. I've been to almost all their locations and each times have had friendly, efficient service. The one in University City especially blew my mind with their freakishly clean bathrooms. Total plus in the city! I'm kinda bummed they got rid of the cream cheese flavor; that was one of my favorites. Others that top my list are Nutella, fior di latte, straciatella, hazelnut, and macadamia nut. Combine the macadamia nut with milk chocolate and it's like a Hawaiian Host! One gripe: it does get a little pricey, so my husband and I usually split a medium-sized one.
by Cedrick Sampsell on I love Bruno's so much. It is such a perfect balance of chill and rockin'. BUT I went there last night and the DJ SUCKED. The first half an hour that I was on the dance floor, he spun good dancing jams. Then, out of the blue he got in this mellow 80s kick that caused my party mood to take a nose dive. When I approached him and told him he owed me a drink because he killed my buzz, he told me I could "get the f*** out" and continued to play terrible music for the next 15 minutes. By the way, his spinning sucked too...most awkward transitions between songs I have ever heard in the city. In summary, I still love Bruno's but will try not to go back on a night this guy is spinning.
