I can only comment on happy hour since I've never been to this place when it's a "club". At Karen L's suggestion, I ordered the fish tacos. My partner in crime ordered the carne asada ones. WOW. How awesome are these tacos!! The fish was a lightly breaded and fried, stacked in a corn tortilla with red cabbage slaw and a cilantro lime cream. YUM! The carne asada tacos were beef and chorizo inside a corn tortilla with the lemon cilantro cream as well. They were a little greasy for carne asada but absolutely fantastic if you are ok with chorizo like I am. The beers were cheep. The food was cheap AND delish! I really recommend this place for happy hour but based on the reviews, I wouldn't come to Roe for the night club experience!

The Salvadoran food is pretty awful and the portions are super small, compared to a more authentic place. I haven't tried the Mexican food there, but I'm assuming it would be better. The best thing about this place is the Margaritas are really strong, so it earns brownie points. The layout of the place is really nice and they have live bands on the weekends. So if I had to score this place if I was going out salsa dancing, I would give it 4 stars, but if I was going there for lunch or dinner I'd give it 2 stars.

If you think that California is in a drought, you haven't seen my dating life. Shiet, my dating life (or lack thereof) is like the Sahara Desert!! Hence imagine my pleasant surprise when I was being hit on left and right by the opposite sex at Busby's. Now I've been to Busby's plenty of times for birthdays, game nights, and bar reviews. I actually used to enjoy this joint because it was casual and kick-back. There is a fully-stocked bar on the first floor, and dance floors, pool tables, an ice hockey table, and dart boards upstairs. To me, this meets all the requirements of a tyical sports bar (minus the dance floors). Somehow, that mellow jeans and t-shirt atmosphere was gone on my latest trip and it had morphed into a typical Hollywood club with guys shamelessly hitting on every single girl. But hey, who's complaining? Again, I remind you that it has been a drought!!! However such a night was a mere mirage as it turned out that the place was raining with BOYS, yes, boys who were in their first week of college. According to my calculation, that would make them 17 or 18 years of age. Either that, or there were alot of super freshmen at the bar that night. O yea, and the drinks were really weak on this night - I felt like a total fish compared to the youngins who couldn't handle a little bit of patron. And so, I went home alone this night as usual. But don't fret, I didn't go home completely empty-handed! We walked over to Pink's and I got a chili cheese hot dog. At least I can say that I ended the night with a weeeener that finally satiated my thirst. Ha ha, I said weeeeener ....
