It was my first time at this club... If you're doing guestlist, there's no line...but there's a huge group of people pushed into this area and you have to make your way to the front by the fenced area and find guys on clipboards. This clipboard guy couldn't even find my friends and I on the list and we all guestlisted each other individually! These other (korean) guys got us in...I don't know how but who cares! When we got inside, everything looked nice, but the dance floor is really small. And FYI, the crowd was mainly asian...(on a Sat.) I'm asian too, but I like mixed crowds; I came for a friend's bday that night. If you enter the club, you cannot even step back outside the door, not even to give someone money to get into the club b/c it's only cash entrance...fyi it's $20 to get in (for girls at least...) The only way to hand the money is through the bouncer at the door. As for the workers there, if you want to stare at eye-candy go to myhouse lol. They look like models... ;)

My friend Michelle told me about this place so we decided to go check it out. Tickets were only $10 and even though we got our tickets online, we had to wait in a long ass line. But it moved fairly quickly once they opened up the doors. First thing on our to-do list, get some alcohol! We then went to get some tickets for the planetarium. The show was really good. The albino alligator hardly moved, the living roof was kinda cool, even though it was cold as hell outside. They had a pretty good aquarium as well. We didn't know that rain forest exhibit closed early so we missed that. But we got to see an awesome lecture on ants! Some dude who dedicated his life to this insect made you feel kind of better about your own life. There was also a live DJ and a dance floor with many nerds dancing(or trying to). We should have shown them what's up with our robots but I guess we didn't have enough to drink. This is a much better alternative than the downtown San Jose scene. What could be funner than going to a museum wasted?

I haven't been here in awhile but I thoroughly agree with yaahmee t's assessment of the free 'mojitos', uber disgusting and not enough alcohol to get a buzz. Still it's good to go early to get in for free or cheaper whichever it was... And basement bhangra is definitely definitely worth the wait. You can't beat the free bhangra dance lessons (everybody turn the lightbulb, turn the lightbulb!) beforehand or the music after the party finally gets started. The crowd is a great mix too... Other than basement bhangra the only other show I remember seeing here was Gil Scott Heron on MLK day many, many... many... moons ago. That was pretty rockin' too..
