by Francine H. on I wasn't expecting anything special when my brother invited me to join him for lunch at Maggiano's. But, when we were seated at this very comfortable booth and handed our menus I knew this wasn't just a typical Italian Restaurante. My brother is a vegetarian and our waiter sent our chef to our table to ask my brother what restrictions his diet had. I have never had service of a chef that was so accommodating. When our food came out it was to die for. Plus, there was so much on the plate, we got to take some home for another meal. I would highly recommend it. It's a bit pricey, but like I said...you get plenty of food. Oh, and the fried zucchini is delicious.
by Cleo Phanord on what a cool spot, i had an out of town guest and we wanted to see some live music. drove around the block and through the 'murder kroeger' parking lot like 3 times looking for 'the drunken unicorn' to catch live music. while we were trying to find it, the pizza shop in this same building told us about mjq, and that it was THE spot. after getting quickly bored in the much smaller drunken unicorn (will review next), we spent the $5 cover to get into mjq (how cheap!) $2 pbrs and the dj was pretty great (pic posted). this is a late night space, i don't even think they open until midnight. good vibe, great time.
