by Tania A. on Wanting to have the most FAB birthday I decided on a new place I had never been too. I decided on EVE and also decided to call ahead to see of I could reserve seating for my group. The manager was amazing and said they would section off an area for me. When I got there the area had my name on it as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne!! Not only was the service great the decor was trendy and different. Overall a great new addition to SOMA.
by Anh T. on Gasp! I found an unpretentious club in Hollywood. A place where people actually go to have a good time and dance, and not just get wasted and grind up against Britney wannabes. Gasp! The crowd is diverse in age and race, and not judging of your dance moves (or lack thereof). There's no overdone Persian-esque decor, egotistic bouncer, or crazy hoes elbowing you on the dance floor. Gasp! True, there is a $10 cover but there is plenty of room on the concrete floor to shake your booty when your booty needs a shakin'. Gasp! .....Too bad they only place house music. Gasp! Yes, I'm a hater. Because in my world of music, HOUSE = TRANCE = ELECTRONICA = JUNGLE = HEADACHE But to each his own. Even when it's lame.
by Dave Neilson on Great neighborhood pub. They have their own microbrew beer which is suprisingly good, a few new big screen tvs and a couple of decent pool tables. When I was there, they had a free BBQ going for the football game. Good times.
