Gosh I was hoping this place would be awesome.. so much for that. =/ Pros: nice music. more open space than what it used to be (duplex). Cons: Wack/rude bouncers. Guestlist super long at 10pm to apparently create the "vegas effect" (i.e. make people wait in the cold for ages to make the spot look happening even though it's empty inside). Also: AWKWARD. there is no distinct dance floor, and the vip area is very isolated from the main area. Gets very crowded quickly. You dont know whether you should dance or get a drink, or talk up against a wall. Cannot find cabs anywhere around this joint. No bars around. Most likely wont be coming back here for a casual night out or to throw an event here. Toodles.

I know I said I was going to tone it down and recover Saturday night in the South Bay in the company of my esteemed loved ones. But I forgot who was apart of said family......when crew from NY and ex-model Ro from LA fly in to start off the shenanigans......who am I to say no? So after hours and hours of throwing back shots and breaking wine bottles I closed my eyes for a second around 2am. I open my eyes and find myself being walked through the doors of Ruby Skye ($10). So be it.... Fortunately it wasn't nearly as full as it can be and there was room to move. The dj was great and more importantly there's hard blowing A/C up in front by the stage. And honestly, 3 red bulls ($15) makes everything a little bit more interesting. Drinking a bottled water ($5) while watching Rowena shoot down attempts from both sexes was mother f'n hilarious. It didn't matter though because if I recall correctly, nothing good happens after 3am. Sometime later we left.....heard more music, more drinking (I know I had money on me before we left???) and then closed my eyes again a second time to find myself back in bed at the hotel. Sleeping in Sunday afternoon......priceless.

Never in my life have I ever wanted a wirey little man to push me around. Never... until I experienced my very first salsa-gasm. Yeah, I said it.
