Gorgeous interior and very strong drinks. However, it gets really, really crowded inside, especially as different groups of ethnicities congregate all together like they were glued together (dancing in large groups, walking around in large groups, hovering in narrow walkways in large groups). The multicultural crowd would have been cool, if anyone was actually interacting or acknowledging that there were other people/ethnicities there. So the large groups and the small space contributed to a non-existant dance floor. Which sucked considering our wedding DJ was playing that night, with two other DJ's. One DJ, the second one I think, played that God awful noise "Poker Face" so he was dead to me. DJ Jeremy came on at midnight, and played a very cool set but with the two inch space that i was allowed to dance and the stuffiness from the sardine conditions, it was tough to just listen, dance and enjoy. From what I saw, since Sloane is so new, I think it's still figuring out it's personality and the type of bar it wants to be. It's a great space, beautiful inside. I'd love to go in 6 months and see what type of crowd is attracted after some more months of being open.

I went to the Flavor party at Roe Friday night. The guest list line moved pretty fast, we got in quickly. We went up the second floor and ordered our first round of drinks. I wouldn't recommend ordering any "girly" drinks here there was almost no alcohol in my midori sour. But the rum and coke my friend ordered was pretty strong. Later I ordered a long island that was decent or I was at least able to feel the buzz. It was a quiet night overall I don't think they even bothered to open the 3rd floor that night. We bounced between the first and second floor most of the night. It didn't really get crowded till after midnight, we turned around and suddenly tons of people were on the dance floor. We lounged, we danced, lounged some more. It was a cool drama free night at the club.

I love the music here on Friday and Saturdays, the international mix of Indian, french rap, and everything in between is great to shake it to. The cover is super-cheap ($3) and the drinks are inventive and delicious, especially the ginger ones! My friends and I go here when we need a change of pace from pop or house music, but we try to come in pairs/couples to avoid the groping by the overflow of single men that goes on most of the night. Overall, the culture clash is easy to take when the beats are so good!
