by Bobbie Sabino on After three people independently recommended this place as "the best Southern gourmet in Atlanta," I obviously had to check it out. To start, any visit to the South is not complete without a mint julep or three. The drinks poured at South City Kitchen were some of the most delicious I've ever imbibed. Too delicious for my own good, in fact. Dinner was a bit more formal than I expected, but the dishes were superb. After some she-crab soup, we dove into a dish of buttermilk fried chicke and another of shrimp and scallops. And oh yes, there were biscuits. Glorious biscuits. Sweet baby jesus, this is why I can't wait to move back. San Francisco has great food, but the South is where my heart is. South City Kitchen showed me why.
by Kenny Timberlake on Clermont Lounge looks like a really shady establishment so I had to go. The cover charge is $10 on a Saturday night. The joint is small but actually have a couple of securities inside. After walking around like a couple of lost souls, we found a tidy corner in the back of the bar and got a good view of the dancers. The notoriously Blondie approached us and said "We like Asians here!" YAY! Then, someone paid her $20 for a lapdance. She proceeded to slap a guy with her boobies seductively. I think this place is pretty fun and unique. The dancers are really friendly and the place is pretty lively. Oh yea, you might want to come around midnight or earlier or face a wait because the place is pretty small and gets packed.
by Koom D. on Wow this place is full of fly honeys. It is supposedly one of the elite clubs in LA nowadays. Come before 11 on a friday night and get in for just $10. Parking is $10 also. Drinks are a little expensive, like $12 for mixed. The music on this particular night was bad, they were doing remixes of every song and not allowing a smooth rhythm to get going on the dance floor, so many interruptions in the mix, etc. However, the lighting is second to none, fancy strobe lights make you feel like you are in euphoria, and they have a powerful A/C system that does a better job than most clubs. Huge upper patio with electronic music playing. It's a large place, you will have fun if you go w/someone who loves to dance.
