There's no doubt that the architecture of the Orpheum is spectacular, but their will call procedures were total crap. There were two windows open, but lines moved extremely slow. I ended waiting close to 45 minutes to pick up my tickets and almost missed the opening act. In fact, I'm sure a lot of people missed out as the line stretched half the block. On the plus side, the inside of the theatre is gorgeous and the seats from the upper level provided pretty good views. Drinks were moderately priced. They filled my wine glass to the brim for $6 and the double long island was $16. Just remember to bring cash! Apparently they don't take credit for drinks. =( Overall, had lots of fun watching the Roger Daltrey concert here. Though, if I were to come back, I would leave ample time for will call and be prepared with more cash on hand.

Clermont Lounge looks like a really shady establishment so I had to go. The cover charge is $10 on a Saturday night. The joint is small but actually have a couple of securities inside. After walking around like a couple of lost souls, we found a tidy corner in the back of the bar and got a good view of the dancers. The notoriously Blondie approached us and said "We like Asians here!" YAY! Then, someone paid her $20 for a lapdance. She proceeded to slap a guy with her boobies seductively. I think this place is pretty fun and unique. The dancers are really friendly and the place is pretty lively. Oh yea, you might want to come around midnight or earlier or face a wait because the place is pretty small and gets packed.

I heard alot of good things about this place but when I actually went I was pretty disappointed. First, it took a herculean effort to get in because we were rolling with all dudes (yes, I know...recipe for disaster when going clubbing). One guy knew a guy who knew another guy's cousin who knew a guy who knew a guy who owns the place so all we had to buy was 6 bottles and we were in. Booking was a joke and the music was not the greatest. It's very crowded and very loud so needless to say when I tried talking to girls the conversation pretty much went like this: Alex: Hi Slutty girl: What? Alex: I said, Hi. Slutty girl: I can't hear you, the music's too loud Alex: What? Slutty girl: Buy me a drink Alex: Blow me first Slutty girl: What? Alex: (Laughs and walks away)...Gotta find other ways to entertain yourself in crappy clubs.
