by Candida R. on I came to Haute 'cause a girlfriend of mine knows a guy to get us on the list blah blah blah... I live near noho and when I want to dance I usually go to Skinny's. Sure, it is dark and dank and a bit trashy, but people are nice and the dance floor is good. But for a change I thought I would get really dressed up and go for it. The thing is, the club is just so...poor. Drinks were really expensive and small. Dance floor is good, but DJ just plays what is on the radio. Peeps inside were trashy and snooty. Had a fine time with my girls but next time we are going to stay across the street at the Abbey!

But just wanted to share my experience with those of you that wants to go to Apple (if it is still around)... I went to Apple with high expectations back in June 2009 with a bunch of friends for a birthday party. Yes, we had a huge group- 30 girls, 20 guys- All on the guestlist. The promoters were disorganized and there are people trying to cut in everywhere. When they realized how many girls we had, he let all 30 girls in, and ended up telling the guys that "the girls wanted to get in for free and didn't want to wait for you guys". We were all furious because they were making up lies. They ended up making the guys stand outside for over 2 hours before letting them in. Perhaps it was the grand opening or some sort, but I am 100% positive that it was over its capacity. Drinks were nasty and I almost called the fire department on this place. Would never come back to this place ever again!!
