I remember this bar when it was a little more than just a traditional Irish bar in Sunnyside. I did't live in the neighborhood but I do now. This place went through a big renovation and has become the area's contemporary watering hole. The food selection is better than the other local choices of the average American greasy pallet you would find at a diner (Pete's Grill, but thats another review) but still fully stocked with deep fried, cheesy choices which are sure to satisfy your taste buds and clog an artery or two as well as really healthy tasty choices. The service is incredible and the bar staff are all Irish and friendly and welcoming. The owners are always there and always accommodating. The clientele is diverse. and Thursdays are really crowded due to a drink special they have on those nights. That night seems to be the only one that attracts a crowd from outside the neighborhood but they are well dressed and well behaved. Nothing but kudos for this establishment and its staff. A little pricey but worth it. Pretty tasty, pretty staff, pretty friendly and pretty spendy.

Yay! That's right! I am a fan! A fan since 2002 Every time I go to Sam's I make sure I don't' bumped into my dad or another family member..hahaha! At first glance you guys will notice it's a bit Ghetto & uncleaned =( but trust me after a few drinks of alcohol and some lap dances ($10 each song) you will want to come back for more. The girls come in all different shape and sizes {{{when I say Size, I MEAN ALL SORT of size...lol}}} .....{{{Don't hate!}}} The best time to go is after a Sport Game or at night. You will notice the variety of ethnicity at Sam's. Girls, don't be intimated to come in, trust me you will not be the only girl in this bar. So check it out for yourselves and make sure to comment on rateclubs. X0oX0xX Evil-yn oh, make sure to leave any recording device in your carro, Girls you can hide then in your bra!

Smoke is a solid NYC jazz club. I can't really speak to the food, as I don't think I've ever had anything more than the french fries, which are tasty. They have a good drink selection, the service has always been good, and the space is just right for some jazz. The music and overall feel of this place are what I come for. It's small, but not tiny, and just has a great atmosphere for live jazz. The hammond organ nights are great, as is the SYOTOS latin jazz band on Sunday nights. They often get some organ greats like Dr. Lonnie Smith to play, and when they do the music is definitely incredible. Overall, if you're looking for a casual night of jazz, you'll often find what you're looking for at Smoke.
