you ever been to a restaurant and have the entire menu? was in town for a business meeting with an agency i work with and seven of us went to tao and we pretty much ended up with about 75% of the offerings. we gave the server free creative reign to bring out anything he wanted so long as it was a representative combination of apps, sushi and entrees. he had a field day. everything is served up communal style so we just kept dishes passed from person to person. i wouldn't advise piling too much stuff up on those tiny plates they give you. i did that because i'm greedy and the flavors started mixing and i wasn't able to clearly distinguish which dish was what. everything was still good though! i wont even attempt to start listing things out ... there was SO much food. this isn't my first time going to tao but i definitely remember why i like it so much. the decor is stunning and we even had a climb up and kiss the Buddha dare going (everyone copped out though). i will give special recognition to the jade blossom cocktail because it was awesome and it was a pretty color so everyone envied my drink. we split the banana pudding and giant fortune cookie for dessert. both incredible. the only funny thing is that there were tons of douche bag looking men in suits with ear pieces trying to look like they were super busy and important but clearly weren't. don't get why they work there. we also decided to burn all our fortunes up in the candle which was super sills but fun until a flame start building and the server had to take the candle away! gluttons and arsonists ... make for a fun team building experience!

This place was the shit when it was Tokio... We had a motto then " what happens at Tokio stays at Tokio" ahhh the memories! it was pretty exclusive and it was a place were people in the industry could hang with out the politics & groupie nonsense. I remember when they had sake Tuesdays lol, but I wont talk about the past in this review because that's just what it is when it comes to the now called Ecco lounge. This place is now retard central in my book, the front doormen/women are all douche of the year candidates,The crowd is a bunch of nobodys who want to be somebodys, with the exception of the C list actor, singer, producer, manager typa guys with tables. The last time I went here Zack Randolph got me and my crew shitfaced upside down drunk, I was walking out the club doing cartwheels ( I think my Kitchen 24 review was about this same night? lmao) If i cant get VIP treatment I wont come here at all, I dont do lines. This is like your typical Hollywood spot too, they go by extremist biased crowd control, so that outfit might make or break you ( loughing out loud inside). I walked up to the door once not knowing anyone or on anyone's list at all, with a 5'9 french gorgeous brunette with massive bust and the front doucheman jumped out and said "its just you!.... and HER!" looking nowhere near me but directly at her business, I nodded and he threw the rope open, mind you the line was down the street, it was a big fashion show going on that night... I had no idea i think i have some pics in my phone actually, ill post them if I do. All in all this is good on certain days, I think Tuesdays and Thursdays might be your best bet. Definitely a place too bring the whole crew you'll probably have more fun that way
