by Dee Neubig on went there last night for their reopening test run. A+ across the board. Interior design has a great mixture of classic and modern stylings that look and feel great. Bartender Paul was awesome and made great drinks. The Bulleit Manhattan was awesome. There was a pear vodka drink that went down too fast. And a mixed tequila drink that was also fantastic. Service was on point. Food came in good time. Appetizers were just that, not so much that it ruined dinner but enough to hold off a grumbling stomach. Dinner I had the Surf N Turf. Great mix of kobe beef, prawns, scallops mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. SO good. and to top it off we split some crab cakes. Best I've ever had. Great flavor, the right combination of meat and bread and nicely crispy on the outside. sorry for the long review but there was a lot to talk about. great job guys, coming back for sure!!
by Daniel Putalavage on This Capogiro has fewer flavors than the Center City locations, and that also translates into less counter space to accommodate the throngs of indecisive people who need to mill around and taste 18 different gelatos before they order. On the other hand, this Capogiro has lots of seating and coffee, lunchtime foods and (hallelujah) a bar. I didn't try any of that, though - you can get a beer and a sandwich anywhere, but there's only one game in town for pineapple sage sorbetto. And god bless them for it!
by Aaron B. on The pint glasses are HUGE. Imperial pints (568ml) of Guinness available for the same price that other rotten stinking cheater pubs charge you for 14-ounce ones (414ml). That's 37% more beer for the buck! The waiters are AUTHENTIC. All Irish, all the time! H-1B's for everyone! The history is LONG. Sure, ownership has changed a bit from decade to decade, but it's been around since 1817 and even has a ghost and its own coffee table book. Sit at the bar and you can put your finger in an indenture that was started by some random sailor back in the 1800s! When your grandchildren visit, maybe the indenture will have become a hole! I like to use CAPITALS and exclamation marks!
