by Dick Justiniano on I do like this place for the fact that the portion sizes are great. A few of my friends split an entree three ways and they divided them into plates so well. I'm not a huge fan of Southern food so I settled for the pulled pork appetizer for my meal. It was the perfect portion size for me! I was surprised; I honestly expected like two bites for an appetizer. Overall, the prices correlate well with the amount of food. But the waiters kept discarding our plates that still had food on it, without asking whether or not we were done (and we were not). They were polite but not that friendly. I doubt I'll be back, unless it's for someone's birthday and I'm forced to! But it might be good for people who really enjoy Southern food. PS. I do like how the place is set up, like a spacious living room.
by Carlton Lindzy on My favorite nightclub in Atlanta for the following reasons: - it's NOT overly crowded on Friday nights, which may not appeal to some people, but I love it because I go to a nightclub for the purpose of dancing and having a good time with my girl friends. At T&G, there is usually plenty of room to dance without having to worry about being groped by a random creep. - glamorous albeit flashy decor. The couches are great for pictures. - free admission before 11 pm - I never have to wait more than 2 minutes in line even when I arrive at 10:55 pm - despite the uproar last year about T&G's discrimination against Asians, I have yet to be victimized by racial snubbing at T&G. I go there with a group of 13 Asians (9 girls and 4 guys, a mix of Korean and Chinese, all speaking only English while standing in line), and the entire group gets into the club without any problem. I would not recommend T&G if your ulterior motive is to get laid with some beautiful stranger. While there are a lot of beautiful people who go to this club, T&G is never very packed when I go there.
by becca w. on "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!" That's what the people at the karaoke bar told us at 2am. So there we were, standing on the corner...too dressed up and way too awake to call it a night. When some new friends suggested we all follow them over to Mighty to do a little more dancing...how could we say no? See, I am most definitely a night person. And I'm always looking for new ways to amuse myself between midnight and 4am. Mighty solved that problem. What a swanky little place! Can't say much about the drinks cuz they were only serving up water by the time we got there. But I can pretty much bet that you won't find a better people watching spot...talk about some creative costuming! I'm a big fan of bass. The louder the better. Mighty has a kick-ass sound system, enormously tall towers of speakers and enough boom boom boom to keep my bootie boogie-ing until the crack of dawn. Well, theoretically anyway. They closed it down at 4am. A great spot, hope I can talk some people into going back there with me sometime!
