by Wilhemina Ahlstrom on I would give the lounge a 5 and the club area a 4. I've been in both few times and with the very few exceptions I've had an amazing time. Yes the ladies at the door are brutal. Yes it is a tough door..BUT I don't think the door ladies are any tougher or more strict than any other doorman in exclusive clubs in the city. I think the real difficulty is that they actually look good themselves. It's easy to be a girl who is slim and tall and approach a doorman with confidence but when the doorwoman is taller, slimmer and prettier AND dresses nicer then the bar is set pretty up high and the crowd has to match. Although I've seen some unlikely people able to get in so who knows, I would say give it a try. The ladies at the door will look at you up and down as if they've been thought how to do that at the door-people school (or farm since I'm sure that is what farmers do prior to buying cow) The Lounge Once in you may be pleasantly surprised with the lounge. It's like no other venue in the city. With it's retractable roof, and the large scene of well-matched tones and relaxing seating as well real nice touches like the swing chairs and real trees, this venue make a real statement on having the coolest ambiance in the city. You can sit there and actually relax. YES I said relax.. The music is nice. Some different songs than you usually hear every where you go. Great selection on the menu (it will remind of a spa) The crowd.. where do I begin.. sometimes it's so exclusive it's barely filled and other times it's so awesome you're sure you are in the right place at the right time. There are celebrities and models. (not the tall slim penniless girls who live in sardine cans but the actual models.. the kind who wears leggings with suspenders so it wont fall) The venue doesn't seem to let in everyone who can afford it which is nice since there seems to be an abundance of middle eastern royalty with loads of cash and zero subtlety. The Club The club area is the opposite of the lounge. It's less posh then the lounge but it has more of a in-your-face type of sexuality to it. The dancers and the poles help too I suppose. Over all it's not done in a strip joint sort but in a more tasteful sort of way. Well it provokes you in a good way. I almost expect scenes from agent provocateur catalog to jump out. At certain hour everyone is dancing on top of everything so beware of guests with amateur pole skills as I've been kicked in the head once by a clumsy guest attempting a headstand. (or something like that) The music !!!!!!!!!! aaah yesss the music!!! It's so hard to find a club that plays house music in NYC anymore. My options are Pacha, and Cielo or Kiss and fly if I want quality. SO naturally I am thrilled that Provocateur not only plays house music but actually brings amazing DJs such as Deadmau5, Swedish house mafia, luciano etc etc... Even their regular DJ is great. When I'm there I don't want to go anywhere else and usually I hop around a lot. One important detail to remember here.... As silly as it sounds I must mention it.. The smoke machine in the club! I don't know the name for it but basically the machine that makes the smoke is extremely strong in this place. When it goes on you cannot walk because you are in complete fog and you can't see the people standing right next to you. Sort of crazy in a naughty way ;) My advice is to get a table because in either place the bar isn't huge and you will be crowded. Over all I think this place is a must-see, and must-experience.
by Feria24 on Well based on pierre35 review, I went to flamingo on 11-10-2010 around 8PM.This place is not for the faint-hearted because all the women are voluptuous, gorgeous and well mannered. You will want to dance with all of them. If I am not mistaken 43 women were at the dance floor. I had a great time but I ran out of cash by 3 AM. Check them out.
Bueno basado en pierre35 examen, me fui a flamencos en torno 11/10/2010 8PM.This lugar no es para los débiles de corazón, porque todas las mujeres son voluptuosas, hermosas y bien educado. Usted tendrá que bailar con todos ellos. Si no me equivoco 43 mujeres estaban en la pista de baile. Tuve un gran tiempo, pero me quedé sin dinero en efectivo por 3 AM. Échales un vistazo.

by Pierre35 on This is a place to find the most gorgeous women between 20 y/o to mid 30's. They have awesome shape the same type you will see on awesomebods.com. The women are affable and sociable. The women are from: Dominican Rep,Cuba,Colombia,mostly. I never met Brazilian and oriental women there.They should have also more black women because very few work there but the patrons are Hispanics,Blacks,Orientals,White and speaks various languages.
The price for drink is reasonable. It appears that the price to dance varies according to the woman you pick. Security at the door and inside is tight. If your are drunk security will not let you in nor they will allow you to disrespect those women. If you are a trouble maker,don't go there. I have been going there for three years I never saw a fight there. The premise is well kept and clean. Temperature control is good. A man carry an assortment of perfume for men in the bathroom.
This is a good place to learn how to dance even-though it might be more expensive than a dance school.
Flamingo is not paradise but it is close to it. The place is open from 5:00 P.M until 4:00 A.M every day.Number 7 train go there get off at 82nd St.

by Huntting B. on So the first thing I thought when I went here was...wait a minute, I saw this place in the movie Hitch. We arrived around 5:30, they had barely opened for dinner, we were asked if we had a reservation, we obviously did not. They looked a bit flustered and agreed to seat us anyway. When we got in the restaurant was completely empty. It didn't make sense to us until we left around 645 when we had to push people out of the way to get out of the restaurant. Mind you this was soon after the restaurant had opened. The first time I went here one dish really caught my eye and my palate, the duck fried rice. As I said, the first time I went there it caught my palate, it was juicy tasty and fully of life. The next time I had it, two years later, it had lost all its tastiness. It was dry and thrown together. The restaurant had also gone from being packed out the door to half full. The restaurant is beautiful though and would make for a wonderful date place, it is relatively quite, has a grand feel to it and pays attention to the details, like with the beautiful wooden chopsticks they provide for your meal.

by David Soriano on The negatives and possitives of THE FLAMINGO NIGHT CLUB. - NEGATIVE: Like the previous writer I too was disappointed for the fact that the flamingo night club turned out to be a club where u pay the girls for dancing. All that advertising in a small panthlet that is given on the street of roosevelt ave. of queens, NY making all the guys beleive that this was a GENTLEMENS CLUB. Instead it is a night club +PROM NIGHT combine.
Sure, the girls look great in their outfits, such as school uniforms, and babydoll outfits, but dont expect them to do a lap dance. U'll dance great with them, But by the end of the night, U'll leave the club with an empty feeling. Guys, try the stripper club.
THE POSSITIVES: although I am disapointed that it is not a usual gentlemens club, the flamingo night club is a good tool for the ladies who work there to teach guys how to dance in a sexy way, including dancing with them while playing spanish music, such as bachata and regetton music.
So fellas, If u have a girlfriend, who wants u to take them to a club, but ur embarassed to do so, because u don't have the skills to be a good dancer to ur lady, than THE FLAMINGO NIGHT CLUB is the place for you.
Use this, as a training tool or practice to dance with the girls who work there. You will gain some dancing experience from them. With the skills that the girls have to teach the guys how to dance very well, the men will feel confident about what they learn from this.
WHen the guys feel confident that they know how to dance, in the future, they'll soon know they wont be embarrased to dance with girlfriends. THanks to the flamingo club.
But guys, remember this, once u learn from this, do't tell ur girlfriend about this. JUst dance with them, But never mentionto them about this club. JUst expereince this as a training tool for dancing, and have a great time dancing .
by Neta Norena on Went there 2 times. Once for deep voices and another time for their 5 year anniversary [or was it 2 year anniversary]. This really is a massive club with great sounding speakers. There is also a smaller room for smaller acts , which has a stairs that takes you upstairs. pretty cool. would definitely g there again.
by Juan Lopez on This is horrible. I live in Manhattan and a friend took me here. First of all, there are girls working here, but guess what? You have to pay them to be or dance with you. And no, they are not the usual striper kind of ladies, they are regular girls with expensive clothing, to me is not even worth it. If I can give you an advice this would be it: Do not go to this hole.
