by Steph D. on One of the few clubs that can satisfy my love of trance music. Though I've only come to this club a couple of times, my friends have come several times! Whether it be free events or cheap ones, we've always had a great time. Most recently I came here to see Ferry Corsten! Kind of weird to be at a club on a Sunday night but the event was wonderful! For whatever reason there were no ins and outs that night..and alcohol was only being served upstairs. The only thing I don't understand is how event tickets can get so expensive! A couple of times Armin has spun here and tickets have gone up to $70! I heard it was even more at the door. Tiesto was also another $70..so not worth it for such a small venue.
by Clifton Hotter on Oscar's is the quintessential downtown dive bar. It looks like a dump and they got the cheap beer, the greasy bar food and a decent jukebox. The staff aren't fake nice but they aren't mean either. You can still smoke inside too! If you happen to be in the Rittenhosue area on a Saturday night, Oscar's is perfect for getting away from the herds of rich suckers making their way from one corny over-priced cocktail lounge to another.
