by Carlton Smurthwaite on Micky's is a fun place if you want to go out and grab drinks, watch male go-go dancers, dance, and just have fun! There's outdoor seating, a bar area, and a dance floor for those who like to prefer dancing. We had the personal margarita pitchers and they were very strong. Gets very crowded here at night (when the bar turns into a club, even for a Tuesday). If you like that and the scene here, then go nuts!
by Nicky Shrewsbury on Polk St. is a common destination for Saturday night grooving. In looking for an alternate to the furnace and claustrophobic Vertigo, my girlfriend and I heard Sisco "Thong Song" blaring on the street. Mayes? Sure why not.... Upon entrance the place seemed dead for 11:30 but I did not realize it was opening night. Retro interior, loungy feel with a dance floor towards the back. AMAZING DJ! Mix of current hip-hop and trendy beats with 90's favorites not heard since frosted tips were cool in middle school. The crowd is eclectic, like most SF bars, ranging from hoodies to hoochie dresses. I have taken a different group of friends to this venue every weekend since it opened and each person raves on how much fun they had. See you Saturday Mayes!
by Flor D. on It ain't San Jose y'all... Nuff said. Good mix of people, music, and "attractions." Bouncers are a little strict...but I get it...they don't want a sausage fest or worse...a whole lot of sword fighting! And yes Serbelle...they have a slide...
