I went to the EU last Sunday (5/2/10) for the Devotion Anniversary. All I can say is that the music was off the frigin' hook! David & Rueben shook my arse all night long! Usually on a Sunday the music is on and off, and at times mostly off, sorry to say. The EU is NOT like it used to be back in the Gay 90's/New Millenium early 2000's. So onward. I sweat til I puked from dancing so much. The place was packed unlike I have seen it in years or on a gay Friday night, just like the good ole days. The reasons I gave a 4-star rating are twofold. First, the Petite High Asian Ladies who kept pushing their way to the mirror so they could watch themselves crack out and dance....truly annoying; although they were quite fashionably dressed! Secondly, were the guys, you know who you are, who stand on the dance floor with their arms crossed and do nothing but tweak! EEW! The Dance Floor is highly valued property guys. If your not going to dance then get the hell off. Go trip out in the Garden, you can still hear the music out there. Thank you End Up for YEARS of fun! I will be back again and again.

The idea of combining an art gallery and a drinking spot was an absolute genius. The paintings and photographs in different sizes and shapes set on walls that extend high to the raised ceiling make for a very interesting backdrop. And, after a few too many shots, they end up being THAT much more visually pleasing. Or so I found out when I attended a benefit yesterday evening. There's nothing to write home about on the quality of the drinks - they have your standard bar fares with, quite possibly, the exception of the unusual offering of Hoegaarden. And, not sure about the prices either since no money exchanged hands (at least on my part) during the course of the night.
