Highly recommend Bruno's for dinner on a Wednesday night! Great food, charming service, delicious drinks (all reasonably priced) - I can't believe I live around the corner and just got around to trying this place. It looks kinda generic from the outside, but its totally retro-cool inside. We ordered the Frito pie, mac n' cheese and the crawfish etoufee pot pie - everything far exceeded my expectations, and even better, we didn't have to wait for a table... win.

So far in my life, I've been out clubbing 16x and out to raves 2x. Out of those 3x are at Supperclub and 4x of those are due to my city co-workers. I don't consider myself a partygirl, if anything I'm more of an introverted homebody and bookworm. But there's always something about this place that acts as the catalyst for bad behavior. The place has a dark entranceway, to the right is the big blood red room with huge circular bar. The bathrooms have a thing for black, and the dining/dancing area is all decked out in white with beds and fluffy pillows along the wall. On the top is a balcony that overlooks the dancefloor with more beds along the walls. During dinner hours it is a 3-4+ hour affair with lots of bed lounging and small bites. Afterwords it turns into a club with "bottle service" on the beds. If you put out for a table it can be irritating trying to defend your turf from the random tired girl or guy that wants to park their butt on the edge of your bed but didn't pay the $$$$ to have that space. The music here is always loud, always thumping full of bass, and always irresistible to a person with a built up desire for dancing. The best area is the balcony which overlooks the dancefloor. The energy of the crowd picks me up as the music flows through me. Work and stress melts away, pain fades, sadness ebbs, all there is, is the pulse of the crowd and the beat of the music mix roaring through my veins. After a couple of drinks, I dance and I forget about everything. My skirt twists everywhere, my arms pull at the balcony bar, my fingers running through my hair, surrounded by people doing exactly the same thing. Bring us your tired, your hurt, your sadness, come and dance it all away. I need to note this is not necessarily a good place for a girl to go by herself. Maintaining physical boundaries can be difficult when the hours get later, things are getting a little crazy, everyone's packed like sardines in a can, and stuck in a dense haze of alcohol. It seems that everyone who has been here before has a crazy story of long lines for the bathroom because a couple decided to "have at it" in one of the stalls. My friends took me out after an hour and a half for 5A5 that was much more sedate, and I had wished us to go back to Supperclub. Now, waking up the next morning from yet another adventure at Supperclub... thirsty, hungover, with my wits back and thinking to myself "OMG what did I DO LAST NIGHT?!?!" yet AGAIN, I'm glad I left when I did. Supperclub it's all your fault.
