Still enjoy this place on wednesdays for goth and industrial nights and after you get loaded by the amazing bartenders down stairs, head up stairs amongst the pedophiles in the 80s room.... The party is what you make it, Ive never gone there on any other nights, only wednesdays for the past 7 years... but its always been fun

3.5+ I think South City Kitchen is pretty good, but nothing stood out to me as very memorable. I went on a Sunday evening with two friends and they were moderately busy. I liked the cornbread and biscuits they bring out first. I forwent an appetizer and just ordered the jambalaya and a side of the cauliflower mac and cheese to try. The jambalaya was good, but not outstanding. The cauliflower mac and cheese was interesting in taste and texture, but I don't think I'd order it again. Both my friends took advantage of the Sunday BBQ and seemed to enjoy it. I think I'll have to come here again and try a bit more of the menu. What I tried was pretty good but nothing really stands out as exceptional so far. The service was very good, however.

- 8 o clock res and no table 'til 8:30 - "comped" an appetizer but not given a choice; it just showed up - waiter was excellent, answered all our questions and made inquiries on our behalf related to sources and types of ingredients - food was so-so
