by David H. on 3.5+ I think South City Kitchen is pretty good, but nothing stood out to me as very memorable. I went on a Sunday evening with two friends and they were moderately busy. I liked the cornbread and biscuits they bring out first. I forwent an appetizer and just ordered the jambalaya and a side of the cauliflower mac and cheese to try. The jambalaya was good, but not outstanding. The cauliflower mac and cheese was interesting in taste and texture, but I don't think I'd order it again. Both my friends took advantage of the Sunday BBQ and seemed to enjoy it. I think I'll have to come here again and try a bit more of the menu. What I tried was pretty good but nothing really stands out as exceptional so far. The service was very good, however.
