My experience at Zahav is extraordinary because my friends and I, all good friends of one of the line-cooks, splurged and went for a completely original, multi-course tasting menu consisting of almost all of the appetizers, desserts, beverages (including Arak, a truly mysterious drink immensely popular in the Middle-East) and the signature, 3-day cooked lamb shoulder. However... because I did try nearly EVERY appetizer on the menu, I can tell you that all of them are nothing short of absolutely DELICIOUS. This one one of the greatest meals of my relatively young life. The massive lamb shoulder (I mean MASSIVE...we came strong with 4 hungry guys and we came close to finishing it) was the single greatest bit of meat that I ever tasted...a truly unique flavor profile that I've never experienced before. Grab some wine or one of the finely mixed cocktails from the bar and strap yourself in. This is one of the most unique upscale restaurants in the U.S. L'Chaim!

I took some clients here while we were in Atlanta on a site inspection. It's very hard to find and tucked away but worth it! I had their signature dish, the fried chicken and it was amazing, although it's the first real southern fried chicken I've had so I can't compare it to much. The Crab cakes were good, according to my clients. For dessert we split the Orange custard pie (not my favorite but that's a personal opinion) and the Pecan Pie...simply amazing! It was chewy & gooey and we couldn't get enough of it. We came later in the day for lunch so the restaurant wasn't busy but the service was excellent.

Here's the thing about clubs: Everyone has different preferences and impressions. Me? I liked Saint. Then again, I also like to sometimes be a bit of an observer, and this is a great place for that. There's an interesting mix of club kids, cougers, frat boys, and normal people. There were a couple creepy old guys, too, but I didn't get groped once - which really is pretty impressive compared to where I usually go. No, not everyone was dancing, but plenty were, and I like that I didn't feel weird or out of place when I took a break and sat down. Also, the bouncers really are very nice, the drinks are strong (and not especially expensive considering), and the coat check is free, which is unusual in my Boston experience. I can't regularly afford a cover of $15 ($10 if you get there before 11), but this was for a friend's birthday, and I'll definitely go back for another special event.
