I've never reviewed Six Feet Under because I don't know how to adequately relate my undying love for the combo taco plate. But I believe the time has come. I can't order anything but a triumvirate of tacos from this Grant Park establishment, as they rock my gastrointestinal world. The menu used to contain three equally delicious taco choices (blackened shrimp, catfish and calamari), but a fourth, disappointingly gross scallop taco recently was added to the mix. My favorite taco of the original three is the blackened shrimp, topped with shredded spinach, cucumber, cuke wasabi and fried leeks. The catfish makes a flavorful splash with slices of fresh jalapeño. (Make sure to have a brew or other bev on-hand.) Plus, the trio of tortilla titillation comes with Six Feet's house-made chips. Douse those babies in salt, and you're set. The other night my boyfriend's parents took us and some of his friends to Six Feet for his Birthday. His generous father ordered a ton of appetizers I've never tried. My favorite was the Oysters Rockefeller; I kept trying to suck out more meat and hot Parmesan cheese after they were long gone from the shell. The Spicy Rat Toes pleased my palatte, too. The baked jalapeños, stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in bacon, quickly disappeared, perhaps because the order only included three. If a friend comes in town, or my parents ask me to think of somewhere to eat, Six Feet often is my suggestion. It's affordable, delicious and urban-cool--a restaurant I hold dear to my heart.

Tried this place for the first time - a saturday early evening - before dinner. Found the place inviting and friendly. Service was prompt and friendly too. We found the menu selection great. However as far as the menu, it also was a bit 'busy.' We decided we wanted to order a bottle of Zinfandel. Had a bit of difficulty locating those wines in the Red category - advice would be to have sub-categories on the menu. But had a great time in a nice setting. Defintitely worth 5 stars
