Boy 1: Hey, are you guys from Stanford? Us: No. Boy 1: Oh...I'm from Canada. *awkward silence. leaves shortly after* Boy 2: Hey, you a med student? My Friend: No. Boy 2: Oh... *just leaves* Golddigger much? I understand that you want to look for some super smart, successful woman who will take care of all your financial needs and let you be a professional househusband for the better part of your life. I really do. After all, that's what you guys say women are always after right? Apparently there was a social gathering at Rouge that night for Stanford Med Students. Go figure. Note of advice: If you want to find yourself a Standford Med Student, a BAR is not the best place to pick her up and promote yourself as a good potential househusband. If you think that's what she wants to begin with. Now that my rant is over, the pitchers of margaritas are a good deal! Go get some when golddiggers and social events are not cramping Rouge's style. Music was not bad as well! And I have to mention, saw the girl who 'lost' her antique earring there when we walked in (refer to my big foot lodge bar post). Apparently her treasured antique earring she was hyping about and used to introduce her friend somehow was not very important to her. Or she was able to find it within those few minutes we used to walk over to Rouge? Who knows.

I have never dined here so I can't say anything about their food. But I came here numerous times after 12AM for their music and clubbing scene. Somehow it is predominantly Asian crowd with a mix of theirs as well. Drinks here are standard NYC club price and small. But it is free to get in and they have a cool balcony and music is decent. It is a perfect after party spot and I always come here if I don't have fun somewhere else.

Average food, but super music... I've heard several of the Jazz Masters play here... Oscar Peterson, Milt Jackson, and others.. unforgettable experience hearing them. The service is modestly good. One night Tony Bennett was in the audience listening... a few tables away. Note: Oscar Peterson past away in 2008. It's expensive but worth it if you are listening to a favorite artist here. The sound stage is set up pretty good, and many professional recordings have been made here that went onto CD, and vinyl (years ago).
