I love Yoshi's but I can't give it 5 stars just yet. The jazz club is fantastic, but I never seem to be able to get good service in the bar area. I am not sure where the disconnect is because the service and the food in the dining room are great, but the staff never seems to quite get the tables around the bar covered - you always have to wait for service and every time there is some confusion about which server covers which table and who should be taking the order... thankfully they make delicious martinis to make up for it.

I have never dined here so I can't say anything about their food. But I came here numerous times after 12AM for their music and clubbing scene. Somehow it is predominantly Asian crowd with a mix of theirs as well. Drinks here are standard NYC club price and small. But it is free to get in and they have a cool balcony and music is decent. It is a perfect after party spot and I always come here if I don't have fun somewhere else.

I've never experience an All-Asian night club until now which was comforting to be part of the Asian world. I thought it was odd that there were no Asian music playing to make it an authentic Asian club. There is a stripper pole directly on top of the bar and a rope for stripper to swing. I came here on a Friday night, the next day after New Year's, which was extremely crowded as I was unable to maneuver comfortably on the dance floor. To my utter shock and dismay the coat check charges a ridiculous $4.00 per item as they do not allow multiple items on the same hanger which cost patrons to dig deeper into one's wallets. This nightclub does not open until promptly at 10pm and allows single women VIP entry treatment thus banishing men latter entry. After 12 midnight all patrons are charged with a whopping $20.00 admission fee. I was accompanied by a group of six which two men in our party was frustrated with the long wait combined with the bitter cold of a winter night that they departed our group. The night club has sound effects of fake snow falling onto the dance floor and noise makers that make you loose your hearing. There is a drummer and a ledge for women to climb onto for brief dancing above the dance floor. There is gymnasts on cloth ropes dangling in mid-air. In addition, the bar ridiculously charges a whopping $5.00 for a glass of water so patrons will not hydrate while dancing the night away. It is not large night club with a mid-size dance floor. The upstairs has a lounge area as well as the rear of the club. The bar tender ignores my request for drink order as she ignore me like a statue for nearly fifteen minutes for one Cosmopolitan and one Long Island Ice Tea which are common mixed drinks. The club is quite modern and well maintained.
