I hit atmosphere after a night of club/lounge hopping with some friends. We spent most of the night at Apt.24 across the street, then hopped to Sutra for just a few mins, then walked into Atmosphere. It was later in the night so by then all clubs should be bumpin, but it was sort of... empty. The crowd was kind of...sketch as well, probably because they had enough alcohol in them by then. We tried to dance for a bit and have some fun but we pretty much called it a night soon after.... Not sure if its any better earlier in the night?

I really adore this place- the tuna tapas is delicious. They have great, fun wines to have. Their humus has been good. The decor is nice inside. Two bars, two floors of seating as well as outdoor seating. The people inside who work there and eat are fun to watch. It is a great place for a nice dinner with friends and drinking.

you know, i had never heard of the cinch before. and thats really wierd, because i have heard of almost every place in the city. a friend of mine and i decided to check it out one night. drinks were cheap, they had it decorated very festivley for halloween. that was cute. you know my friend and i joked that the cinch is where the castro queens come to die, but the more time i spent there the more i realized these guys are just like us, they just dont like the hype of castro, and you know what i couldent agree with them more. the more i talked to this one guy that says hes wa regular, the more i realized that maybe i am the one thats "sheltered" maybe there really is more gay culture in this town, other than whats in a 3 block radius of castro... overall i recommend the cinch, when you just need to get away from the sterotype! also its a great place to bring the girls because you can wonder down to some of the great straight bars after, and they will be happy too!
