by Gary L. on I'll just get to the part you want to know about first: there are a pretty decent number of hot women here. My friends, my friends' friends, random Hottie McBooty -- they're all pretty fucking hot. But... the guys, for the most part, leave a bit to be desired. It's a good thing drinks are cheap; for us guys, buying drinks for women who have no intention of sleeping with you has never been easier on your wallet! One thing I don't get about peoples' reviews is their insistence that Bruno's is a bit of the Marina in the Mission. True, some of the folks there are the stuck-up bitch or striped-shirt douchebag types, but for the most part the crowd is pretty relaxed. Get there before 10PM, get in free. It's pretty simple. Order a round for around $20-$30. Repeat ad nauseam. Then the blurry vision kicks in. All that beer is going to have to come out sooner or later... uh oh, long restroom lines. At around midnight, it's best to switch from beer to booze because you're going to have to wait for that asshole who checks himself out in the mirror every single time before you can take a leak (true story). Sucks, but you deal with it. At least the guy's line is shorter than the women's. By that time, you have enough liquor in you that you don't give a shit what kind of music is playing. Really, people are going to knock a bar because its playing mainstream hip-hop? 1AM rolls around and people start to congregate at the death dog cart outside. You're thoroughly drunk. You and your friends had a good night at a good joint that plays danceable music, surrounded by mostly good people. Good night!
by Jaunita Seaborn on Ecco is a neigborhood gem. It's fit for foodies, has a great bar scene, and a patio perfect for happy hour. Their fried goat cheese is a must-try (so delicious!), and picking just a few items off their impressive list of meats/cheeses is great for a light but yummy meal. My one complaint is that it easily gets overcrowded and too noisy sometimes to even carry on a proper dinner conversation... But it's still always a good time.
by Angie Trentini on I came here for the first time the other night to grab a bite to eat and some drinks with friends. I ordered the Veggie wrap with corn on the cob. The wrap was really yummy! I would definitely come back for it! The feta cheese sauce made the whole thing awesome. Our server was really on top of things, refilling drinks and checking on us. My only complaint and I don't know what the real law is in Georgia pertaining to smoking in bars. But if you come here and you're not a smoker, don't wear anything that you intend on wearing again or that you have to dry clean. it's stinky!
