Eh, overrated. The food was good, but not great. I had the duck duck duck - the confit risotto with duck egg was very good, but my white pear cocktail was weak. We also ordered some sushi to start, but it didn't knock our socks off. I'd much rather try Buddakan or one of the other highly rated sushi restaurants in Philly before overpaying at this place again. The service was friendly, but Morimoto had a pretentious vibe, which, coming from LA, I was looking to avoid. The worst part had to be the decor, the place looked like a damn Pinkberry inside. Unfortunately, this place seems to be getting by on name alone.

Went here for a few drinks with some old friends from out of the city and had a blast. The upstairs lounge area is real neat (yes...neat just fits). It has giant wrap around couch benches and giant animal chairs that look very awkward to sit on...but aren't. They also have these cool cocktail tables that look as if a white vinyl record was melted over a giant soup can (just picture it). As for the drinks...yes they are a bit pricey, however, CM gains major points for giving you your own personal martini mixer along with the glass. This is great because you easily get more volume but it also keeps what is not drank yet cold (a major downfall of martinis). A few things I really like about this place is the very upscale diner feel, any martini with tang as an ingredient, and the 2way mirrors in the bathroom - yes I got caught looking of course.
