May have had my favorite night out since moving to the city at the beginning of this year. The minute we walked into Maye's, I knew it was going to be a gem. It's a pretty sexy little joint inside. Tons of framed mirrors, tons of seating (which you do not have to reserve or get bottle service to sit in), dance floor, and music videos of all the songs they are playing. There was a little inconsistency wtih the drinks we ordered. We all thought the first round of drinks were poured without alchohol, and the second round must have had all the alcohol the first round lacked. But after an encounter with a round of whiskey shots, I was gold for the rest of my night at Maye's. Did you know you can dance here AND sauna at the same time?? Yep, soaked through and through. But STILL spent the whole next day talking about how fun this night was, because Maye's made it all happen. I can't wait to go back, even though I'm afraid I might not be able to top the unexpected fun of my first time. TO THE WINDOOOOW, TO THE WALL!!
by Judson Monarrez on i'm cuckoo for kokos and it's not the fruit loops. This is a little gem just off of van-ness and around the corner from the lush lounge. Come here. Order a cocktail (may i recommend a capirinhia or a black cherry cosmo? Yum) --sit back and chillax. The allure may also have something to do with the super rad happy hour. $3 draft beers and $4 (good) well drinks!
