I liked this club- not too big, not too small. I came here for the first time on saturday night for my girls birthday, we had bottle service, ended up costing about 800$, not bad at all. Getting inside was a little challenging, like 3 bouncers? C'mon. Music was good. Dance floor was packed. Smoke patio was popping. Drinks were well made: strong (except the Midori- that tasted like shit, a mix between cough syrup and melon). It was an all white event and my group rolled up in black, kinda funny, guess we didn't get the memo. The photographers were a little annoying like how many pictures are you planning to take? lol, I guess I shouldn't be complaining. By the end of the night, I was pretty damn tipsy and I spilled a couple drinks, it was kinda weird cuz they started telling the ladies to take of their shoes (and walk around on the slippery alcohol drenched floors) to go dancing on the podium/platform thing, kinda gross. Oh, and there was this black guy who was break dancing on the dance floor, pretty entertaining (: Only thing that bugged me was the girl to guy ratio, seemed like there wasn't enough man candy to look at the night like, the girls were gorgeous but yeah i'm single, and yeah i wanna dance with something that pokes back- if you get my drift.

Well first I must admit I haven't been to Shout in the last few months, but I did frequent the place a lot prior to that. I always liked the atmosphere, especially when we managed to score a table on the deck! The trio dips plate is really yummy, their sushi is pretty good, and everything else I tried I always liked also. Their peach mojito is amazing! Best mojito I've ever had. But yes, drinks are pricey (at about $10 a piece). And I've always found the bartenders attentive which is a plus for sure. I like the vibe at Shout... relaxed & classy. Once dinner time is over I recommend you head upstairs, that's where all the fun is! Depending on what time you get there you may have to pay a cover (I think after 11pm). People tend to dress nicely, but it's not a snobby place. It's a pretty mixed crowd as far as age and race. You can go and hang out with your friends, dance a little, drink, chat, etc... When its crowded there will be more people dancing and it almost turns into a club. But there are still plenty of nooks to escape to if you don't feel like it. They have a small menu upstairs from which you can order food until late. Mostly appetizers and such, and all the items I've tried were yummy! If you are there for something special the "cabanas" are awesome for a little more privacy.

For the longest time I didn't know the name of the this place. Because of this I will forever call it "The Ethopian Place, no no no, not Axum, the good one with the bar and the great wallpaper." Individually as a bar, 4 stars. Individually as a restaraunt, 4 stars. However, the sum of Waziema's parts is greater than the whole. 5 stars. What can I say? I'm a sucker for the ever-so British gastro-pub feel.
