by Farida B. on 3.75 rounded to a 4 This place is pretty darn expensive. Came for lunch, sat at the sushi bar, got shrimp tempura roll plus tuna and salmon sashimi. Shrimp tempura roll was fabulous. It's one of my staple rolls (I know it's fake sushi) but man Morimoto does it well!! The salmon sashimi wasn't my favorite but the tuna was great. I'd like to come back here with someone else's wallet and try other menu items. The sushi chef was so nice, and I got to watch another chef boil a whole octopus with soy sauce. It was fun to watch :) Loved the decor, the food is good too. Service was a little slow, but everyone was friendly.
by Su Shames on absoloutely fab. the new old school bungalow 8. tight door in such a classy way that there is no riff raff, arguing, begging, or cheap money flashing to the door girl. you're either on the list, or you arent. no nonsense. it makes for an eclectic crowd. the studio 54/bungalow 8 feel of the place rocked. to open up a place like this w/$45 glasses of champagne on the menu & such a tight door a year after the market crashed, and in the depths of a recession is blasphemous. however, for some reason, it works very well. gives hope that the big apple still has a couple tricks up its sleeve
by Herta Brookover on Okay I went to meet my girl friend and her friends here. Our original plans were to leave here and go to Bowlmor for some bowling . I stepped one foot inside this place and I didn't leave to 3am this place is small but has a nice décor and amazing Dj who spins the best old school hip hop & new school tunes. The staff is friendly and the drinks are great I can't wait to go back !!!!
