i'm still surprised by how much I enjoyed this place. I came for dinner on an 8:30pm reservation. the menus DO light up... it's a little startling. i had the hangar steak ($19)... the seasoning for the meat is not the best, but it was perfectly cooked. my friend had the salmon ($19). the piece of fish was pretty big, served on top of a bed of string beans i think. it looked and tasted like a really healthy option that i'd probably get next time. the portions aren't huge, but i think pretty perfect especially if you plan on drinking and dancing. drinks were $6 during dinner, but $10 after happy hour ended...(9:45pm) a little before 10pm, they shut down the dining room to set it up as a dance floor. i was worried that the place would be empty but it wasn't! there was a good crowd to where it wasn't awkward to drink and dance. i just remember having so much fun that night dancing in different parts of the club. i brought a http://restaurant.comcertificate with me so for dinner, three drinks, a steak, no cover, and no lines, i paid $40. would definitely come back again :)

absoloutely fab. the new old school bungalow 8. tight door in such a classy way that there is no riff raff, arguing, begging, or cheap money flashing to the door girl. you're either on the list, or you arent. no nonsense. it makes for an eclectic crowd. the studio 54/bungalow 8 feel of the place rocked. to open up a place like this w/$45 glasses of champagne on the menu & such a tight door a year after the market crashed, and in the depths of a recession is blasphemous. however, for some reason, it works very well. gives hope that the big apple still has a couple tricks up its sleeve
