by paul s. on there is no better place in austin to shake that ick, catch a little hair of that dog from the night before. talk about a people pleaser. we hosted some friends from louisiana this past weekend, we had quite a night on saturday and sunday morning... there was no denying that spirits were dragging. all my first choices for brunch were closed and then I remembered Trudy's. we previewed the menu via their website and it had something for everybody. we loaded up and made the drive over. we used to enjoy trudy's more often off s. lamar but texican stopped us from enjoying that as an option. just a lil back story explaning how I could have forgotten trudy's so, we sat on the patio. no wait. taylor was our server and she was fantastic. friendly and helpful. the food and drinks fixed us all. I have never left this place without pledging to return soon and I hope to get back into the habit of driving over to his location. I should add that the prices were also very reasonable. the special of the day, shrimp stuffed relleno (anaheim pepper) hit the spot! the fireman's #4 and the mexican martini helped wash it down. thank you trudy's
by George on At last something different! I like the curvacious and voluptuous gals here and find it more sexy than the same-'ol-same-'ol stripper bodies that you find on the strip. I also prefer the ladies in their late 20's-30's agegroup because chatting to them is easier. In fact up to age 40 would suit me fine, because I feel more comfortable with them. But more importantly, the pressure the strippers on the strip put on me (every 5 minutes) as compared to this place was great - there was no pressure here. I liked the friendliness of the foxy ladies! I will definately be back if they keep things this way and don't become like all the other clubs!
by Bob the BBW lover on I like that they have curvy/thick and fuller figured ladies here. I am so sick of all the "cookie-cutter" strippers fake boobs and stick-thin girls in most of the clubs. They are boring and seem so condescending. BUT, the girls at Foxy's are very friendly and warm and made me feel welcome right away. I prefer giving my money to women that appreciate it! Bring on more of the larger ladies with big personalities to match!
by Johnnie Nohel on I went to the Friday night Asian party at Hiro. I'm not a fan of Asian parties anymore, but if I had to go to one like I did on Friday, Hiro would be near the top of my list. The best thing about Hiro Ballroom is the space - look at the pics and you'll see what I mean. The DJ was very good and spun mostly hip hop. The line was long after 11pm and cover was $20 for guys. Drinks were on the pricey side - $13 for a shot of Patron. I've been to Hiro several times before, and the quality and attractiveness of the crowd on this particular night was not as good as it usually is.
by Karen on This is a nice locals bar with no cover. There is a one drink minimum. The girls are nice as well as beautiful. Come here if your interested in real conversations with the woman, cheap drinks, pool games, sports on the big screen, and plenty of lap dances to go around.
