I don't know how to put it...maybe it was the enthusiasm of the owners, wait and bar staff...or maybe they got lucky and got some experienced new cooks, but as a Concierge of a major downtown hotel...I began to get feedback ranging from "good...to exciting...and excellent". I had eaten there several times..and at different times of the day and night...and began to see 'an extra effort' on everyones part there. Granted the tables may be too close together...a few window booths have wobbly seats...but its the authinticity and sincerity of the food and ambience that wins me over. On the wkends the mariachi band does play LOUD...but they also play with and to the crowd. I have found the staff able to take care of groups with short notice...and also took care of the Single Dinner...which is always a bit + in my book...and make them feel at Home. Yes ... I am sure that the negative reviews bear Truth for this restaurant...but that exemplies my point. When bland and mediocre turns to exciting and sincere...it shows up in the service, food and music.
