by Meg N. on I went for a birthday party so I wasn't paying- so that is a contributing factor in my rating. But as far as bowling alleys go it was nice. Big screens at the end of the lanes, comfy benches around the lanes, and waitresses who come to your lanes to take your orders. The manager who greeted our party was very friendly and accommodating. Our waitress could not have been less interested in serving us drinks and didn't even seem to be sure what was on the menu. The drinks were ok. Strong but just average. Would I have paid $12-15 bucks for martinis and other concoctions on my own there? No way. But as it was included in the party we all indulged and had a good time! Surprisingly my bowling score improved 3 martinis in!
by Mechelle Naff on I'm on a quest to find the best margarita in town (to be continued...) From time to time an appetizer makes its way to our table. We thought we ordered guacamole but what came was a plate of onions and tomatoes mixed with some kind of a green sauce. At $9.25 for the appetizer, we had high expectations of finding chunks of avocado...lots of chunks. Not a chance here. Overpriced and under-delivered.... on the margaritas...they were fine but we're still searching. So far, Pacos in Arcadia is the winner.
