This is hands-down my favorite bar with a dance floor to go to in greater Boston. I must note though that the this place is many different places at different times. On weekend mornings its the official Liverpool soccer meeting space in Boston, on weekdays at night it's drum & bass, and on Friday and Saturday nights it's 80's music and top 40's. The weekend is where it's at! Where do I start? The bartenders and bouncers are friendly, the people who go there are approachable and friendly, the music is a blast to dance to (there is a bench on the right side of the bar you can stand on like a stage), the dress code is nice but lax as well so you can wear whatever makes you comfortable. Unlike the pretentiousness you may find in certain parts of Boston, people who frequent this place are laid back almost all of the time. Central square is great and this is the best place there. I've probably been to Phoenix Landing over 30 times and I'd say I've had fun every time! Great places to meet friends, dates, and to bring your friends!

For big names, they tend to over-pack the place. My girlfriend and I about got trampled at the David Guetta show. The scene can be absolutely obnoxious. Someone tell these little boys to stop popping their collars and start buttoning their shirts. So many jurk-off guys that as the night goes on things just got more and more unenjoyable. You MUST go with a group. Without people protecting the perimeter of your group old, creepy, nasty men will start trying to dance with your girls. !!! BEWARE THE HUGE AMOUNT OF CREEPY OLD MEN. !!! !!! THEY WILL AWKWARDLY DANCE WITH YOU !!! The pictures of hot, attractive people you see on their website are all taken in the VIP lounges. They make sure to usher off the single ladies to the stage. It's a beautiful venue though. Some good DJs come through there and I've saved tons of money going the $10 will-call route. They tend to "mysteriously" lose names in big groups though and they're forced to pay full price. Full price? Ridiculously expensive.
