Great outdoor garden patio, great music, and funky atmosphere. I love that it's free before midnight! You can always find new friends here. The missing star is for the sometimes-overzealous bouncers (I sometimes feel like I'm going through immigration: "Do you plan to hold a job while in this nightclub?"), but I suppose that comes with the territory of being a freak-magnet club in constant fear for your license.

Really cool space to sit and have lunch or dinner. The room just has a flow to it that's provocative enough to keep you visually entertained, but not overbearing ... but, I should be talking about the food. We started with edamame and the tuna pizza crisp. Edamame is pretty standard, but the tuna pizza crisp was something special -- thinly sliced tuna, red onions, pickled jalapeno and some sort of cream sauce, all on crispy flour tortilla. Next, I got the ishi yaki bob with kobe beef. They cook everything at the table in a stone bowl, so it's worth it for the experience alone; the taste, though, is equally impressive. I'm not going to tell you that you couldn't get something like this other places, but the presentation was top notch and, if i could restate, it's kobe beef. Desert was maybe even the best part -- peanut and crackerjack ice cream in honor of the Phillies' return to the World Series and Morimoto brownies. The ice cream was ridiculous. This is definitely a place to go, as long as you can stomach the price. It's not overpriced, but it's not cheap either.

Really? I paid $10 to experience a long line of people waiting for tickets, a long line of people waiting for WAY overpriced snacks and alcohol beverages, and a long line of people just to MOVE every whichaway? Pfft. More than half the exhibits were shut down by 7:30pm when I arrived, and far too many people refused to remember how to walk around. I'm not going to fault the DJ for a bizarre musical selection, given the ticketed audience, but if this is supposed to be a nightlife-esque party, play something an audience of a clubbing variety would want to hear, please. Disco boogy is not clubbing music. Academy of Sciences, why oh why, did you shut down the better exhibits? I love fish, but the aquarium was the only thing you had open other than your African stuffed animal exhibit. Please give us variety. At this point, I don't want to go unless I have a reason to. There's hope for this place to be brilliant! Don't waste it.
