Every time somebody suggests this place to go to for happy hour or for drinks, I secretly cringe inside. Not wanting to be the complaining Debbie Downer, I always go along with it and hope for the best. By this point (half a dozen visits or so), I know not to expect much more than overpriced drinks that get watery way too quickly and more than the usual amount of attention from men nearing their Medicare-eligible years. If you're looking for an ego boost, this is the place to go. Also, beware of the bathroom paper towel nazi. I hear there is also one in the boys' bathroom as well. Here's how to avoid her: just go in the first stall--it has its own sink in there! I have seen some ladies run out of the stalls without washing their hands for fear that they will be faced with the guilt of not tipping Bathroom Nazi. Gross!

Miami heat in the middle of Washington winter was the best! Discotekka reminded me of a NYC nightclub surrounded by the flyest latinos. What can I say, I had a great time at this place. On a Saturday night, this place was extremely packed! I'm usually against packed places to the point where it gets tough to maneuver from place to place, but the eye candy made it all better. The space is big enough, not too small. They play house music in one room and in the other they mix it up with reggaeton and hip-hop. Listening to reggaeton brought me back to the FUN party days. You can't find that kind of atmosphere anywhere up here in WA so it was great to feel like I was at a place where I was "back at home". Thank you Disco, you definitely met my standards ;)

During a conference in Atlanta I ventured over to Atlantic Station for dinner. We just walked around and found a place called "Strip". No, it was not a titty bar as I worried when I put my expense report in.. It was a sushi, Pan-Asian, steak place. Yes, weird combo, but not bad. We had a group of about 8 and the service was terrible unfortunately.. The waiter was nice but he screwed up a couple of our orders. Also, we had to wait for 30 minutes before we even ordered. Food was OK, nothing special. .The best part about the place is the interior. They have 3 floors to choose from and a couple outside balcony's to gawk at folks walking around Atlantic Station.
