by Carmela Krichbaum on Got in for free since my friend was promoting that night--and we even got a VIP table with a free bottle of alcohol! Sweet. PLUS I found parking within 2 blocks. Contrary to what others have said, Icon is not really ghetto, it's just grimey. While my friends and I are dancing I see this ugly dude staring her up and down like she's a big juicy steak or something. It got pretty crowded too. Being 5'1, everyone was a head taller than me so I was just being packed in. But what really scared me off the dance floor was when I was dancing near what I thought was some guys back and I found out that some fat chick's ass was rubbing up on me. *shiver* The DJ played hip-hop that was big when I was in high school (I'm 21). The DJ kept playing Latin music and nothing personal, I just wasn't feeling it that night. But I did have fun with my friends so I'll definitely give Icon another try.
by Lindsay K. on Poor sound quality and horrid bathrooms are only tempered slightly by relatively cheap drinks, no credit card minimum, and hilarious backstage nooks to get your smoke on. Let me also preface this by saying I only went to the Hanson concert AS A FAVOR to my friend who was on the list for the opening act. Anyway, five drinks later we're backstage somehow mooning Hanson and hundreds of screaming 19-year-old girls. The stage manager was apparently very unhappy. But I bet those creepy girls loved it. Eek!
