by J B. on The interior is very pleasant, with a calm yet buzzingly sociable atmosphere. My dining companion and I had the tasting menu. The salatim ranged from fabulous (fennel, carrots, eggplant...) to oddly flavorless (tabouleh, cucumber). The bread, in small supply, was delicious, as was the traditional, smooth hummus. The cauliflower with labni was fantastic. The lamb sausage and lamb kefta were great. The smoked chicken was excellent. The service was very good. My cocktail was superb. Desert was very good. Overall, I"m a little torn because I really liked it there, but my primary complaint was that the portions were much too small for even tapas style. For having had the entire tasting menu plus drinks and desert we left not even remotely full and wound up eating again later. Had the portions been better sized I would say it was worth the price tag. The variability of the quality of the dishes is less of a concern as overall they were excellent.
by Brain Dubuque on Came here around 11. Maybe it was the combination of finding street parking and not having to pay to get in... in any case, not having to open my wallet definitely made my night. The music was fun, all hip-hop. We shared a booth with a funky cool older couple who kept encouraging us to drink and dance. I didn't drink but they seemed reasonably priced and fairly strong. I think I would definitely come here again. I like the setup with the comfy booths and the dance floor. The only downside? They don't need giant heat lamps everywhere, especially when it gets so hot on the dance floor.
