by Shela Yengich on I had a lot of fun here for a friend's birthday dinner. We ordered a bunch of apps for the table- guacamole, fried avocado, quesadillas, etc. The guacamole was fresh and delicious, and everything else was well-made. The drinks were great--they have a huge list of flavored mojitos and margaritas to choose from. Service was attentive and handled our large group deftly. The bill was a bit steep for Mexican food, but since everything tasted good I wasn't too upset. One hiccup: when we went upstairs to go dancing, we were charged a $10 cover even though we explained we had just eaten in the restaurant. We were later given coupons to come back for free since the manager admitted the employee who charged us had made a mistake, instead of just being refunded, which was pretty lame. The dancing was a lot of fun--upstairs is reggaeton, bacchata, merengue, salsa, etc. and later we headed downstairs for some hip hop, r&b, and reggae. This is a fun night out for sure- just bring some $$!
by Candis Rothweiler on Fun night messing around with all ages of NY nightlife locals. The drinks were decent, I was trying to stay sober after the sangria at Tony's =P.The music was good and so was the space. When I have the chance, I'll come back.
by Jeff D. on Pretty average. We came in here to grab a drink and some appetizers during the Harry Potter madness that gripped Harvard Square last week. The apps were good but service was non-existent. We had to order everything at the bar in spite of what appeared to be wait-staff patrolling the floor. It definitely had a dive-bar kinda feel, which can be a good thing if you're a local. It's always good to have a bar where you can just go hand out and watch a game or something. I'm sure if you're a Harvard student this place could serve that role.
