by Emmett Tenny on Though I hail from NYC, I travel to San Francisco on many occassions and everytime I have the chance I go to Vertigo, what other bar in the country loves treats it's customers like they're family, well all of them do, but how many mean it? The crowd is from business suits to birthday suits, plus I'm not sure if he works there or was just there for the kick ass drinks, but I could have sworn I saw a Haitian midget with assless chaps, a fake handlebar mustache (pron. moosestash) and a 3 foot afro dancing on the bar, then again that could have been my drunk induced ars hallucinating...either way, you'll have fun at Vertigo!
by Laura D. on I have been to AsiaSF numerous times over the past years. It is ALWAYS a memorable experience. Not only is the food fairly delicious, but the gender illusionists are RIDICULOUSLY GORGEOUS. Seriously, I want a bangin' body like that. I recommend getting a late reso to catch the grand finale show and going in early for some dancing downstairs. Fierceness all the way around.
by Arnulfo Schoeffler on after a bonehead attempt to go to oakland for a party with a group of people, we ended up here for the birthday of a friend of a friend. it was almost midnight by the time we got there so i was on edge but i love halloween and once i had a couple of drinks and a friend won the costume contest, my mood lightened considerably. the music was lame until a jazz/funk band started their set. it was unexpected and kind of odd for a halloween party but they were fun enough. after that the night ended with dancehall, which i love, so i left a happy woman. they have a cash only bar which i find obnoxious since i almost never have cash on me.
