I saw Electrelane here and it was brilliant. The venue is really accommodating to patrons, everyone can get a decent view. The prices to get in to a show are reasonable and the beer prices are also kind on the wallet. The downstairs bar is also enjoyable and room for large groups if need be. I've always enjoyed myself here. It's causal, laidback tone sets the mood for a good time...

You may ask, why, why would you never come in here when it is 3 blocks from your house!?!?!? I'll tell you why, I'm broke.... but that is not a problem at KoKo's!!!! Their drinks are strong and fantastic and not expensive. I mean $4 for a beer and $6 for a Jack and Coke or Gin and Tonic is not half bad. They have really fun DJ's, I really like Tuesday nights and a sweet bathroom..... not to mention the bartenders are very nice and they remember people. It's not like the other TL bars where you have to be in heels and pay $6 for an Anchor Steam. It's chill, dark and relaxed, perfect for large or small groups. Ooh and watch their movies, last time I was there it was little people herding pigs, hilarious and entertaining. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the hood.

I'll make this review short since there are so many rants and raves about this place. I dont want to be shot down in the middle of sf for not going with the flow. I went on a tuesday night with four coworkers for their $35 three-course menu special. I expected a superb meal and not so much of a good show. Well both dissapoint me due to the cold main entree plate which was Kobe beef steak cooked to MR and the short skits. The food was definitely cook to quantity not quality. Note to the chef: Some people careless for the show since the place IS called Supperclub. Perfect or improve the culinary aspect and maybe we'll have a good reason coming back.
