by Denis Pate on It's a love-hate relationship with this place. You "hate" it but.... cant... stop.... going....back.... Damn, who am I kidding? I LOVE Circle! Yeah, it's a place where FOBs go to feel like they're partying in the motherland, but honestly, there's nothing bad about that. I must say though, a night at Circle is a night of guaranteed fun. The music is always good, the dance floor is fairly big, and sometimes they have this violinist girl come to perform at around 2am. She's freakin awesome. Reasons why I'm rating this place a 4 instead of 5: 1. They used to give out warm fresh baked cookies at Happy Hr on Thursdays. BRING THEM BACK! 2. Coat check is $4 ... PER ITEM wtf 3. It gets ridiculously crowded at peak hours Three reasons why I'm rating this place a 4 instead of 3: 1. The violinist girl -- seriously, shes awesome 2. Hot bartenders -- esp the blonde one! 3. Good music
by joanne d. on K first of all DON'T love Broadway, because non SF locals come here thinking its Hollywood. BTW, it's NOT!! K the first time I came here. I did NOT love it! The second time was even worst! (Although both times I came I didn't have to wait inline and just walked in) But the bouncer the second time I came here, was trying to be hardcore by ignoring me because I made a funny comment. Come on take a joke and smile, cause your job isn't really that serious! Were you that picked on in HS?? LOL Then the music was horrible. Sorry, I'm not a Dance or "Fist Pumper" kind of girl. Then the wanna-be Hiphop room was just a big hallway where people are constantly shoving and passing through to get to the Dance room. And they weren't even playing hiphop the whole time. Also NO ONE says excuse me or sorry here. (Douche Bags and Douche Baguettes) The best part of the night though was this HUGE framed mirror where people kept thinking it was an opening to get to the other side of the room. I swear I cried from laughing, cause people REALLY thought, even though they were face to face with themselves, trying to shove me away to get through, thinking it was a opening. That was the best part of that night. That's for the 1 star!!
by Mel Campas on They deserve NO stars! I hate this club! I I went with my friend in January of 2009 and all I can say is "steer clear" Ok so they hold lines (we barely got in free) and no one was hardly inside, the door people are rude and awful (you can't even take an umbrella or ink pen in), my ID was checked 3 times on the way in...uhhh why? When I finally get in and look around hardly no one was inside and some security guy calls me over and asks me to check my ID again?!! Wtf!?? I am not one of those tiny boppers...I left after that...THEY HAVE ISSUES!
