Everyone had been raving about this place, so I decided to check it out. I should have stayed at home, played loud music and danced around my room. First, I was happy to arrive and had been told that there was free valet parking. It is not free. It is 10 bucks to have a guy park your car in a lot that looks as though it is where they take repossessed cars or totaled cars. Sketch. The snooty staff informed me that my guests and I were not on the "guestlist" even though I put us on it way in advance and even received a confirmation. Whatever. They tried to make us feel important by saying that they can make an exception and let us in this time. How sweet of them. After we entered, I could see why. There was no one up in the place! My friends and I got really drunk in order to have a good time. There was no one dancing and everyone was standing around staring at one another like we were at a sixth grade dance or something. Lame! There was a photographer who kept taking pictures of the same girls over and over again. I guess because they were willing to facebook slut it up for him. The bartenders were cool though! If you spend money, they will take care of you! And what was up with the go-go dancer? She looked like she was fresh out of high school! I wanted to ask her if she was allowed to be up this late and if her parents knew where she was. Skip this place if you can. Not worth it!

If you like "big top" cheese and overpriced drinks in flimsy plastic cups that taste like pixie stick mixed with rubbing alcohol, then you'll love this place. Honestly, the drinks are overpriced, the door people herd you around like cattle, everyone looks like they're 17 and the DJ? He played all the greatest hits from 2001 (I'm not kidding...when is the last time you heard DMX? Because I just did, and it was at Carnival). It's a cute idea with TERRIBLE execution. If you want Coney Island flair, go to Brooklyn Bowl...or Coney Island. A 90 minute ride on the N train is better than this.

This place is cool. An actual dance hall with a great diversity of people - seriously, I once had the privilege of dancing with the genuine article - a Cuban old timer (who looked classic in his fedora and suit) that gave me a run for my money on the dance floor. It was refreshing to visit a place where people's interest is to dance and not necessarily pick up - imagine that! Another great thing about this place is that they close very late/early on Sats. Parking structure is across the street and I believe it's free. Can it get any better?
