by nycsep n. on I live in the meatpacking district/west village. I hate what has happened to my little neighborhood over the years. Filled with B&T and tourists. Does anyone know that the meatpacking district was cool about 10+ years ago? Anyway, I thought "why beat it? join 'em". Ok. Maybe I had a slightly skeptical attitude, but I swear I really wanted to love this place. I hear it was smaller and intimate. Intimate is right. We had a table and have money blah blah. I would never spend another penny in this place. I guess I'm too old to feel as though I'm being done a favor for being there. MUSIC SUCKED ASS!! Everyone was looking around, waiting for something to happen. ahhhh, but it didn't. I left early with my friends and gave our drinks/bottles away on the table. Who cares. I say hello to the door guys when I walk by with my dog. They seem nice enough. I WOULD AVOID IT. Too many other places to go...
by Nathan Prosperi on Webster Hall is a good venue as it kinda fits between smaller places like bowery ballroom and larger venues like terminal 5 and bigger. I have seen a couple DJ shows there and it was pretty fun. The bar in back can get croweded but there is ample room to move around. I will be at the Justice show tonight so we shall see how things go. I will try to follow up with an update.
by Francesco Cante on The other reviews are right, this place stinks & so please don't waste your time or money! They charge way too much and guestlists don't mean squat. My biggest complaint about this place is that the music was horrible. The DJ must have had ADHD because as soon as you hear a jam you like, it'd be changed literally 10 sec later! You could never get into the groove. Please don't waste your time or money!!!
