Hurrah for LED lights and greenery all over the place! Okay, good parts covered. Let's talk about the rest. I went with a friend because my company was hosting one of the Jersey Shore dude's new apparel line, so we got in for free. We also didn't have to pay for drinks because it was an open bar and some free guido vodka littered every table. While the DJ played some good old school R&B tunes for the first hour, the vibe completely changed once the public began to come in. On comes the techno! Here comes the girls with sparkly dresses barely covering their coocas! Oh, the men with their crisp tanned sin and Ed Hardy wear! I no longer blended in, but stood out like a sore thumb for wearing a fairly conservative outfit. I'm expecting the vibe of the place being like this most nights, so I won't be coming back.

Get your drank on! or is it .... Get your swank on! .... or maybe ... Get your skank on! No wait, it's all of the above. This was not a lounge at all, and unfortunately, that was what my friends and I were looking for. The crowd was 35+, totally skanked out, swanky place, loud, obnoxious, pretentious people who were way too into themselves. strange... It's like ruby skye, but add on 10 years and pricier, sluttier attire. I saw a couple women holding onto their fur coats at the bar. hello?!? fur coats?!? what's wrong with you?!? It's not my kinda place. The only redeeming factor was the service. The bartenders and doormen were great, but it's not enough to get me coming back for a second round.

Dragged to a bluegrass band show, i discovered this ex-speakeasy turned bar/club/restaurant and my life in San Francisco got a little sunnier. Walk down the steep stairs into this seductive and roomy lair and you will find yourself in a dark haven for music, drinks and a little time away from the word as you know it. My feeling is it's a little chip off the gem of Manhattan that somehow landed on Market Street.
