This place is too loud for dinner and the service for meals in not attentive or accommodating and slow. Too pricey for what it is. So many other good sushi/Asian restaurants in NYC to waste money here. Moulin Rouge summer drink was good despite all the other miserable meal elements.

this is really a three and a half star review i have been to ruby skye twice. the first time was for a tiesto show that i was in absolutely no state of mind to be reviewing. the second time was for a bt show that i was completely sober for. as such my review will only reference the bt show. tickets for the show were relatively cheap--only fifteen bucks. i figure that if you are going to charge less than 20 bucks on a show for a rather well known trance artist then you are okay in my book. the advertisement and the ticket provider said to show up at least an hour before hand to pick up the tickets. a friend and i showed up and were rebuffed--kind of rudely--and were told to come back in an hour. we made the most of our time by hitting up the best dive bar in union square: gold dust lounge. when we came back we were let in, without a hitch. the first hour or so the club was empty but it was okay because the music was good and it allowed some time to chat with my friend. once people started to pour in we hit the dance floor. the opening acts were good. the music was real loud, which i love. then bt came on. absolutely rocked it. great atmosphere, great energy, great time. the confetti burst was AMAZING. (picture provided). all in all it was a great show that was well worth the price of admission. other notes: i got spilled on by some dude that was fall down drunk. he had no idea what was going on so i couldnt really get that mad. we have all been there. and the stain came out thanks to some handy dry cleaning work. a huge plus: not that many douchebags. my friend, who is, excuse me saying, a rather attractive, petite, blonde chick only got minimally harassed by said douchebags--and to be honest this was at the end of the night, literally right before we were leaving. so the fact that at a club we only had to put up with minimal douchebaggery is, as i said, a huge plus. in the end the show was great, i am not sure how much the venue played into that, but i had a really enjoyable time.
